Monday's Sound: "You're The One"

It's The Sound of Monday on Dave Jay Tuesday!

Monday's Sound is a segment to share about the sounds that make our Mondays richer!

"You're The One" was a track released after Buddy's tragic demise on Feb. 3, 1959.

Visiting his hometown in Lubbock, TX for Christmas, 1958, Buddy stopped by KLLL Radio. At the studio, someone bet Buddy to write a song in 30 minutes. Accepting, he came back with this song. Buddy recorded his new song on station equipment.

Elements of songwriting I love and shoot for, this song is clever, honest, catchy, and impromptu--a good little song that I love to cover.
